EIRS Director Commend Electorate On Peaceful Governorship Election
…Obaseki is more energised than ever

BENIN CITY- Executive Director Tax Compliance, Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS), Mr. Emmanuel Ehimare Okodugha, yesterday commended the people of Edo State for endorsing and voting in Governor Godwin Obaseki for a second tenure at office on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
Speaking on the mature conduct of the electorates who filed out and cast their votes in a peaceful voting environment, armed only with their voters cards as they went about reelecting Obaseki based on his good works avowed that Edo State by this conduct has charted a new course in the Nigerian democratic process, putting their names in the annals of time for the ability to stand by their candidate even in the face of earlier apprehension.
The EIRS Director noted that the massive votes and street jubilation by the electorates was a public triumph for the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki and Philip Shaibu and an attestation of their public good works which has largely helped at bringing governance to the doorsteps of ordinary masses.
Haven started and finished the first tenure on sound note, Okodugha explained that Obaseki definitely would up his ante and give teeth to his famous sobriquet “Wake and see,” in this second tenure to actualize the confidence reposed in him.
